Hellow there!

I'm trying to get my muse back over here. Slowly but surely it's coming back. Serving my nation in a very uninspiring office does wonders to kill my creative soul. Makes you lazy and tired of life. Art just doesn't matter anymore... BUT IT MUST NOT BE!!

I AM AN ARTIST AND WILL DIE AS ONE! :shakefist:

Aaaanyway, about this piece. It's a portrait I did of a close friend a few days back. It's the first piece, in a while, that I did in one sitting.

Wanted to do a worthy portrait of her. This here still doesn't get where I want to go to capture her beauty but it is close to my illustration style and colors, so I like it. And apparently so did she, lol Awesome!

On a side note, I've hit 10k pageviews. Clearly I'm not a popular account on dA since it took me 4 years to get to that number!

But yea, whatever, =P

I appreciate you guys coming over and peeking around from time to time. So hell yea, rock on you guys!

Oh I love this style so much. Are you using a tablet or just mouse? If tablet what kind?

Yeah work can be quite suffocating at times so try to find inspiration in other things like nature or just browse around DA.

Aw.. thanks hun, :)

I use a tablet for my paintings and basically everything on my comp. Since essentially it's the same as mouse, just in the form of a pen. But what am I talking about; I'm sure you know how a tablet works right?

I suppose it's not so much as finding inspiration to art as much as finding inspiration to life. If that made sense to you, lol

Actually I have never used a tablet before. I have seen it. I know how it works, but never tried it myself. I am planning to buy one once my bugdet rises a bit, so I was wondering what kind/type are you using?

I use an old model. Wacom Graphire 3. And after all my abuse, this bugger just keeps on kicking ass. Wacom is pricey, but worth the investment, :)

Buy it only if you really plan on using it.
Had a classmate, spent almost 250 US dollars on a huge Wacom tablet only to give up trying to get used to it. He sold it for half the price to another guy after a week. lol, I told the other guy to take up the offer; it's rare such a fool comes along, =P
